For Anna Resei, the mirror comes to stand as a symbol of consciousness: it is a reflection, or even a door. Mirrors can visually extend objects and spaces to create new realities—real or imagined. Mirrors are no longer passive objects of reflection, but rather become active mediums of transformation—fracturing, scattering, and reinterpreting light, distorting the image they reflect to invite to a deeper, more elusive reading of the self. Rather than offering clarity, the mirror becomes a landscape of ambiguity—where overlapping curves, sharp angles, and translucent textures behave like pieces of memory or thought. As the viewer shifts position, so too does the reflection, revealing new facets, hiding others, and creating a dynamic experience of perception.
